HA Filler: The Secret to Your Subtle Glow-Up

Our clients want to look like themselves – only better.

That’s why we take a comprehensive (yet subtle) approach to dermal fillers: the Full Facial Balancing Treatment. By strategically adding touches of filler across multiple areas of the face, we can achieve overall harmonization that never looks overfilled or overdone.

The secret to eternal youth? It’s in the syringe

Volume loss in the face is a natural part of the aging process. Unfortunately, it often causes wrinkles that even Botox can’t treat.

Strategically-placed dermal fillers can restore the face’s natural structure and reduce the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, sagging, and jowling.

Dermal Filler Treatments

Reverse marionette lines, crows feet, tech neck, and more with dermal fillers. Dermal fillers are perfect for patients who desire:

  • Lip augmentation: volume or definition
  • Brighter under eyes
  • Defined jawline
  • Defined cheekbones
  • Hydrated, “glazed donut” skin
  • Reduced scarring or acne scarring
  • Wrinkles and fine lines

Frequently Asked Questions:
Dermal Filler in Washington, DC

Dermal fillers are gel-like substances injected under the skin. FDA-approved injectable fillers are composed primarily of Hyaluronic Acid (HA): a sugar molecule that is found naturally in the body.

HA molecules attract water and expand, like a sponge. By injecting HA fillers strategically under the skin, we can use them to hydrate the skin, balance the face, and enhance your natural features in a subtle way.

Our first-time injection clients often ask us: Does getting filler hurt? The truth is that injecting anything can cause momentary discomfort. More sensitive areas like the lips may be slightly more painful, but we always numb the area with ice and work quickly to minimize discomfort.

We carry a wide range of dermal fillers, including Restylane, Juvederm Ultra and Ultra Plus, SKINVIVE, Redensity, RHA, and Hylenex.

How long will your dermal filler last? That depends more on how your filler is injected than what type of filler is injected. There are several factors that influence the longevity of your filler, including: the amount injected, the density of the filler, the injection area, and your unique metabolism.

  • Tear trough filler complications happen as a result of poor injection technique. The under eye area experiences significant movement, which increases the likelihood of filler migration.
  • Complications with tear trough filler can be mitigated by consulting with an experienced injector who can properly evaluate whether filler is the right tool for your unique facial anatomy.
  • We find that many of our patients who desire brighter, lifted under-eyes prefer biostimulators like PRP and Sculptra.
  • Some of the best fillers for marionette lines include Juvederm, Restylane, Sculptra, and Radiesse. However, every product and patient is unique. We always use the filler that is best suited to your desired outcomes and facial anatomy.
  • All FDA-approved, HA-based dermal fillers are non-permanent. Hyaluronic Acid is a sugar molecule that is naturally found in the body, so the body easily breaks it down over time. Areas with more movement, like the lips, tend to break down filler faster.
  • The body begins to break down the temp lip fillers after about six months, which is why we suggest booking follow-up appointments every 6-12 months. Everyone metabolizes dermal fillers at a different rate, so it’s best to check in with your injector to find the schedule that works best for you and your body.
  • Non permanent lip fillers can be dissolved immediately by injecting an enzyme called hyaluronidase into the area: meaning any filler treatment you get can be reversed as needed.
  • Non surgical lip filler is a great way to achieve more defined, hydrated, and luscious lips without an invasive procedure.
